Whisky Goes Down the Drain

Buffalo Customs officers poured today — approximately 60 quarts of whisky, two cases of beer and an assortment of wine right down a drain in the old Customs House.

Collector Harold R. Becker said the bottles were seized at border points for non-declaration during the past 12 months.

If not reclaimed by owners by payment of a forfeiture of penalty, the law requires that they be destroyed.
