Ears on music and eyes on prizes will be the rule at 7 tomorrow evening in the Hutchinson Central Technical High School auditorium.
Nearly 100 young musicians and singers will compete in the state finals of the “Teen-Age Parade of Bands” contest sponsored by the Junior Chamber of Commerce.
Daniel J. Lampone, chairman for the Buffalo Jaycee Chapter, host to the finalists, said competition for first-prize trophies is scheduled in five classifications:
Orchestras (seven or more members), small “combos,” vocal groups, female vocalists and male vocalists. The contest is for school musicians in Grades 6 through 12.
