Residents of C St. are opposed to re-naming their street.
“They’ve been happy with C St. for many years and they’d like to keep it that way,” Gus Franczyk, Ninth Ward supervisor, said today.
A petition to the Common Council against re-designation began circulating in C St. The petition named Mr. Franczyk spokesman.
“It’s gaining signatures rapidly,” he said. “You don’t have to be in C St. long to see that nobody is delighted with the proposal.”
