Hollywood’s It, Randall Says

NEW YORK, Sept 23 — This Capital of entertainment was excluded from the ranks of “good show towns” Tuesday by Tony Randall a television, stage and screen personality.

Since television turned to large-scale filming of shows and moved “almost completely” out west, there’s not much left for an actor in New York, Mr. Randall said. “Perhaps he can get a part in a play — but it may close in two weeks.”

Hollywood is the only “good show town” left, Mr. Randall asserted as a press conference for the new motion picture, “Pillow Talk,” in which he appears. He was a regular member of the former “Mr. Peepers” television show.
